RANGE RULES (2009 UPDATE)

This is a link to the rules and regulations which apply to the use of all ranges, indoor and outdoor.  Although this document contains comprehensive range rules, there may be some safety circumstances which require implementation of new rules or modification of existing rules which may not be reflected in this document. In as far as it is possible, any changes will be posted here and at the ranges. It is up to you as a club member to be aware of the rules which apply to the range that you are using.

Directions From The Clubhouse To The Outdoor Range

For directions from the clubhouse on W. Britannia St. in Taunton to the outdoor range in Raynham, click on the link below.

DIRECTIONS TO THE OUTDOOR RANGE

Just a word to the wise: Titicut Rd., which leads to the outdoor range, is a residential area with a posted speed limit of 25mph. This road is heavily patrolled by the Raynham PD.

Approved Calibers For New Range

The attached list of cartridges are the ONLY calibers approved for use on the new firing range. It is based on the amount of energy produced by the cartridge and the recommendations of the backstop manufacturer for the longest life and least amount of maintenance. All rim fire .22 and .17 caliber long guns are allowed. Carbines chambered for center fire pistol calibers may be used but are limited to those listed in the link below. Shotguns and all shot shells, regardless of caliber are prohibited. All tracer rounds and all explosive targets are also prohibited. There are also several calibers that are prohibited even if they are being used in a handgun. For a list of those prohibited calibers, check on the "Indoor Range Use Notice" below. If you have a question about a caliber not listed here, contact us. It is up to you to be sure that the weapon you are using is approved. Any member who uses a non approved caliber will be subject to disciplinary action and will be responsible for any damages caused to the range.
