Club Activities

Business Meetings

The executive board holds its business meeting the first Sunday of each month. The meeting starts at 10am and all members are welcome to participate. It is at these meetings that decisions are made about club operations and prospective members' applications are read and voted on.

If you are a member, please consider attending a meeting to get to know your E board.

If you are not a member, the business meeting is a great opportunity to find out about what the club has to offer.

Pistol League

The club fields three teams that compete in the Twin County Pistol League.

  • The RED, BLUE and BLACK teams shoot every Tuesday night from September thru March.

  • A South Shore Taunton Team shoots every Thursday night.

  • Matches take place at several clubs located throughout Bristol and Plymouth county.

The course of fire is the NRA 50' gallery course. It is fired using .22 caliber pistols off hand.

There are three phases to the match: Slow fire: 10 rounds fired in 10 minutes, timed fire: 10 rounds fired in 40 seconds and rapid fire: 10 rounds in 20 seconds.

The top 5 individual scores are used to determine the team score which is used to decide the winner.

Competition exists on all levels and the league is open to all members of the club.

During the off season, there is an ad hoc handicap competition every Tuesday night at 8:00pm. This is a great time to acquaint yourself with the particulars of this discipline. The pistol teams are always open to new shooters so if you think that this type of shooting might be for you, stop by and watch a home match.

Junior Team

The junior rifle team shoots every Wednesday night. The team is open to all juniors from age 10 (with the approval of the coaching staff)  through high school.
